My friend Philip Barrett and I routinely swap our newest comics, since he moved back to Dublin. (You should buy his stuff right now.) He always includes beautiful original illustrations in each packet of comics he sends out to anybody.
Inspired by this, I'm also including the same type of thing in my pack I'm sending of my newest comics. It's not as nice, but I didn't know what to draw. Here it is:

And here is the cover to the 3rd comic I was going to be debuting this sunday, but now have to push back to September 11th at the Vancouver Comic Con.
As you can see, it is called Mascot Ménage-à-Trois, and it is a softcore dirty comic of some Mascot-headed folks getting into some kinky shenanigans. Like I say, though. It's not hardcore. I thought the giant unmoving mascot heads were funny. My friend Jackie assures me that it's creepy, disturbing, and strange. Find out for yourself, in September

I should add, that this cover is an homage to the cover of Gold Key's Bullwinkle #17 from September, 1977. I have a very dog-eared copy that I've packed around with me since I was about 10 or 11, and thought it was fitting the way I chose to repurpose it. Click the link to see my inspiration.

I meant to put this up a while ago, and forgot. But someone tattooed an old drawing of mine I did for Cinema Sewer on themselves! It's an old drawing, and I already feel bad, in that I know I could do better now, but it's an honour for someone to like something I've done that much. His name is Gregor Cole, and he also got some tats of Robin Bougie's art as well.

The illo was done for Bougie's Cinema Sewer book Vol. 1, which can be found here, and vol. 2 is also available here. Or you can order through Robin directly.

Hard Drive Death

It pains me more than I can express to say, I have lost months of unbacked up artwork. My 1 TB harddrive, maybe only a year old, is apparently "not good" as the technician relayed to me. Nothing can be recovered, and I am in no uncertain terms fucked as fucked can fucking well be. Fuck. So yeah, no new artwork for a while, and even stuff I had intended to post, but hadn't had the time to is now lost forever to the ether.

If my warranty is valid, It'll be several weeks before I get a new hard drive. If it isn't... It'll be sooner, but I'll have to have paid for the service of having lost so, so much. Thankfully bits will have been backed-up, but certainly not as recently as they should have been.

For christ's sake, BACK UP YOUR ART NOW.

P.S. I fucking hate fucking computers. I depend on them, and yet I have had the worst fucking luck with them over the past few years. Computers burn in hell you fucking cheaply-made, over-expensive wallet-raping, mind-fucking pieces of foetid fucking garbage!!!!

A while ago for the birthday of a friend who was turning 30 I made up a fake Funeral pamphlet. I wrote out a full service, presided over by Father Glen Fiddich, and with pallbearers such as Alexander Keith and Arthur Guinness. The Hymn was "Old Grey Mare".

I just watched the brand new Doctor Who yesterday, and was more than pleased with what was on offer. I loved it, and they've cast the most gorgeous woman alive as the new companion. I drew them already HERE, but today I felt like drawing the Easter special from last year.

Planet of the Dead was great, and it was the last David Tennant episode where the Doctor was rather happy-go-lucky.

I did this piece for an art show for a friend's book launch here in Vancouver. A different artist was given a chapter each, and told to interpret it however they like into a piece of art. This was my contribution: "Molt Sunday Funnies". If you don't find it funny, that's NATURAL. It's text from the chapter, and I used it slightly out of context for the purposes of the piece.

This is ROUGHLY the cover for Space Jet #7. It's not done yet. This is close to what it will be, but the clouds may have to change. They're terrible resolution. Which is a shame, cause I LOVE those clouds. Anyway, this is close to what it'll look like. Look for it August 23rd.

This is a temp cover for one of my new comics coming out in August. This is roughly how it'll look though. Or maybe it is how it'll look, I dunno. Hope you like it. It's going to be much larger in size (but not page count) than all my other comics thus far.

It's been far too long since I last posted, but I assure you I'm working hard. To remedy the dearth of posting lately this is a panel from one of my new comics coming out at the Comix & Stories Con in Vancouver in August. It is called "I Come in Peace". I will also have the new Space Jet #7 done, which is fairly close to completion even now. The cover remains and some final inking stuff.

Here is the cover of my new 20-page comic I'm working on. Should be ready for the upcoming May 24th Comic Con at Heritage Hall on Main St. in Vancouver.
