Trainspotting is one of my favourite books and films ever, and at the moment I'm a just over a third of the way into the sequel, Porno.
So tonight I felt like drawing one of modern literature's greatest characters: Mark Renton.

Oooh.
Texturey.
Cool effect.
Ya know, at the risk of sounding picky with details...I recall Renton having less hair. Maybe his skin tone darkened down a bit would look more like it.
I'm still figuring out his nose.
I still really like it though.
AND it's one of my favorite movies too!
I'm not trying to caricature Ewan McGregor. I've obviously thrown a few things in that I've been influenced by from the film, but in the book he's always called "that reid-heided cunt", so I chose to emphasize his red hair.
I wanted to keep his skin tone pale, since he's a junky.
this is why you rule.
AAAAaaaah!
Makes sense.
Now I feel sheepish.Heheh.
This whole thing reminds me
of a scene from Orange County
Mr. Burke: Now, when I say "Romeo and Juliet," who comes to mind?
Dana: Claire Danes?
Mr. Burke: That's right, Claire Danes. Who else?
Chad: Leonardo DiCaprio.
Mr. Burke: Right. Who else? Well, you know someone else was involved in that movie who in some ways is as famous as Leonardo Di Caprio. And his name is William Shakespeare. And some great movies have been made based on his plays: Hamlet, West Side Story, The Talented Mr. Ripley, Waterworld, Gladiator, Chocolat'...
Ha ha ha ha, I love that movie Good ol' Chevy.
Wicked!
I don't love Orange County... but it has some really funny Jack Black scenes. -Which is the only reason I own it.
I've always wondered if one of JB's contract agreements, is to make sure he's in his plum smugglers in at least one scene of every movie.
